54-Year-Old Bothell Man Hospitalized in Bicycle-Car Collision on Highway 527
Bothell, WA (April 16, 2023) On Thursday afternoon, a bike crash on Highway 527 sent a 54-year-old Bothell man to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities say that the bicycle-car collision happened at about 5:46 p.m. on the Bothell–Everett Highway.
Reports say that a southbound gray Subaru WRX collided with a man on an electric-assist bike. The Subaru was turning left into an apartment complex when the bike crashed into the side of the vehicle.
WSP says that the crash caused serious injuries to the cyclist, identified as a 54-year-old man from Bothell. Paramedics transported him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with “multiple fractures.”
Meanwhile, the Subaru driver, identified as a 22-year-old man also from Bothell, was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
