Big Rig Driver Hurt in Vehicle Crash on Feather River
Quincy, CA (March 25, 2024) On Tuesday afternoon, a disastrous big rig crash near Highway 70 injured a big rig driver and his female passenger.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the vehicle crash happened at about 3:20 p.m. along Highway 70.
Reports say that the big rig went onto the dirt shoulder, and the driver overcorrected causing the semi-truck to careen into the Feather River.
The crash ejected the driver off the big rig into the river. First responders arrived at the scene and found the driver holding onto the rear of the trailer.
Meanwhile, medics say that a female passenger was rescued from the big rig’s cab and was treated at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the vehicle crash and have not released further information at this time.
