Bicyclist Critically Injured in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run Crash on South P Street

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 5, 2019)—A bicyclist sustained critical injuries during a Sunday night hit-and-run crash on South P Street near Terrace Way.
 
According to news reports, police officers arrived at the scene just before 10:45 p.m. to find the victim in critical condition.
 
Officers believe the man had been riding his bike before a vehicle struck him in the 400 block of South P Street. Paramedics arrived shortly after and transported him to a nearby hospital.
 
The driver, however, fled the scene, leaving investigators on the hunt for any clues and his or her whereabouts. Whether or not alcohol or drugs played a part has yet to be determined.
