Bicyclist Killed in Crash at Siskiyou Avenue and Olive Avenue [KERMAN, CA]

58-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit and Killed by Pickup Truck on Siskiyou Avenue in Kerman

 
KERMAN, CA (September 4, 2019) – A 58-year-old bicyclist was killed in a traffic collision Wednesday morning on a rural Fresno County road.
 
The crash happened around 6:27 a.m. along Siskiyou and Olive avenues.
 
CHP officials said, a pickup truck was traveling southbound on Siskiyou Avenue. While attempting to pass a big rig, it struck the bicyclist that was riding in the northbound lane.
 
As a result, the unidentified bicyclist sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver the pickup remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
The CHP does not believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
 
An investigation into the crash is underway.
