19-Year-Old Bicyclist Dies in Hit-And-Run Crash on Los Berros Road in San Luis Obispo County

San Luis Obispo County, CA (May 13, 2022) – On Thursday, a 19-year-old bicyclist from Nipomo died in a hit-and-run crash on Los Berros Road.

Subsequently, police arrested 41-year-old Dylan Lammers on suspicion of charges that include hit-and-run, vehicular manslaughter, and driving without a license.

The fatal crash happened just before 11:30 p.m. on May 12.

CHP said Lammers was driving southbound on Los Berros Road when his vehicle rear-ended a bike that was on the right side of the lane.

Lammers driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee immediately fled the scene. 

Moreover, the driver later called CHP to report the “possible collision,” and the responding deputies found the biker dead on the right shoulder.

CHP then contacted Lammers and arrested him at his residence.
