1 Dead in Merced County Bicycle Accident on Highway 140 near Lincoln Boulevard
MERCED COUNTY, CA (October 18, 2021) – Sunday morning, a bicyclist died in a crash on Highway 140 near Lincoln Boulevard.
The incident happened just before 4:30 a.m. on Highway 140 near Lincoln Boulevard, south of Livingston.
According to reports, a truck hit and killed a bicyclist. When the authorities arrived, they found the victim down in the roadway. Then, they declared the bicyclist dead at the scene.
At this time, the authorities haven’t disclosed whether the driver escaped the scene or is cooperating with the investigation.
Meanwhile, the incident led to the closure of both lanes of Highway 140.
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
