Bicyclist Injured in East Main Street Crash [El Centro, CA]

El Centro, CA (August 02, 2021) – On Saturday, a bicyclist was injured in East Main Street crash.

The accident took place at about 8:40 p.m. near McCollum Street.

Officers said the bicyclist was struck by a red 1990 Toyota Corolla that fled the scene . Witnesses say the vehicle and last seen southbound on Dogwood Road.

Meanwhile, the rescuers took the victim To Stark Field by ambulance and then taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs by a Mercy Air Ambulance. Similarly, officers are reviewing surveillance video from nearby businesses as the investigation continues.
