Tacoma, WA (August 10, 2020) – On Saturday, a 34-year-old male bicyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on S Puget Sound Avenue.

The accident occurred at about 2 a.m. in the 5000 block of the area.

Tacoma police said two vehicles were crashing with each other. Just then, the second car which was a white Ford Explorer struck a bicyclist. As a result of the impact, the bicyclist propelled into a parked car.

The car continued driving and collided into a building after failing to turn.

Authorities said the driver fled on foot and haven’t been found yet.

Meanwhile, rescuers took the bicyclist to a hospital for surgery on non-fatal injuries.

Practice safe driving habits on the road at all times… even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make a full and complete stop.
