One Injured in Sun Valley Bicycle Accident
SUN VALLEY, NV (May 3, 2019) – A bicyclist suffered injuries after a car crash involving a sedan in Sun Valley on Wednesday, April 24.
Investigators said that at about 1:30 p.m, the bicyclist crashed near a pole in the intersection of Dandini Boulevard and Leonesio Drive.
Investigators initially believe that the cyclist struck a car that was also in the intersection, and the driver of the car left the scene. However, as they continued their investigation, it’s no longer clear whether there was a crash between the bike and car. Yet deputies would like to talk to the driver to get that person’s perspective regarding the incident and to check the vehicle for damage.
First responders brought the bicyclist to a hospital. His name and age were not yet released.
The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the silver four-door sedan involved in the incident. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact 775-785-9276.
