Bicyclist Hit, Injured by Pickup Truck at 15 Freeway Off-Ramp and Main Street [San Diego, CA]

SAN DIEGO, CA (April 1, 2019) – A 73-year-old bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after a driver struck him at the 15 Freeway off-ramp on Main Street Friday.
 
The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. in Barrio Logan. According to police, the unidentified bicyclist rode into the path of the Ford F-150.
 
Reports say the driver of the Ford proceeded into intersection upon a green light after stopping at the southbound 15 Freeway off-ramp. Meanwhile, the bicyclist proceeded, as well, and was hit by the Ford truck.
 
Soon after, paramedics brought the bicyclist to a hospital with serious injuries. Dodging injury, the 60-year-old Ford truck driver cooperated with officials during investigations.
