Bicyclist Dies After Being Struck by a Truck on 300 Block of Oak Street

 
Bakersfield, CA (July 6, 2020) – Early Monday morning, a bicyclist died in a hit-and-run crash 300 Block of Oak Street.
 
The crash happened at about 5:15 a.m. when a vehicle hit a man towing a shopping cart on his bicycle.
 
As a result, the bicyclist sustained major injuries and the authorities pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
 
Moreover, police suspect a late-1990’s or early-2000’s GMC Sierra pickup truck to be responsible for the crash. They also said that the vehicle incurred front-end damage because of the crash.
