53-Year-Old Bicyclist Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash on Akers Street [Visalia, CA]

Visalia, CA (May 6, 2025) – A 53-year-old bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on Akers Street Saturday night.

It was around 9:45 p.m. when the fatal collision happened south of Judy Avenue.

Responding officers located a bicycle and its injured rider in the roadway, but the involved vehicle has already fled the scene.

Immediately, the seriously injured rider was taken to Kaweah Health but he died Sunday morning. 

The authorities are investigating the collision and are searching for the suspect driver.
