MESA, AZ (May 5, 2021) – On Tuesday, a bicyclist died in a crash near Country Club Drive and Brown Road in Mesa, Arizona.
 
According to Nik Rasheta of Mesa Police, the incident happened just after midnight near Country Club Drive and Brown Road.
 
Reports revealed that a southbound vehicle struck a man riding his bicycle across the road. The suspect vehicle fled the scene after the collision.
 
Furthermore, responders pronounced the bicyclist dead at the scene.
 
Also, the incident closed north and southbound lanes of Country Club Drive from 8th Avenue for several hours. All roads have long since reopened.
 
The fatal Mesa hit and run accident is under active investigation.
