Bicyclist Fatally Struck in San Diego Car Crash on 805 Freeway

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 15, 2019) — A male biker died after a car accident on 805 Freeway in the Kearny Mesa area on Saturday, July 13.
 
According to reports, the bicyclist rode along Clairemont Mesa Boulevard near the on-ramp to northbound 805 Freeway around 8:49 p.m. There, a 48-year-old male driving a westbound Jeep Wrangler struck the biker.
 
Emergency responders immediately rushed the bicyclist to a nearby hospital where he later died as a result of the impact. However, the victim currently remains unidentified.
 
Furthermore, officers also shut down the on-ramp for two and a half hours during the investigation. However, the roadway has since reopened.
 
No additional information about the victim or the incident was immediately available.
