Bicycle-Car Collision Wounds Rider on May 15th at Camino Del Sur

 
Isla Vista, CA (May 17,2020) – Bicycle-car collision wounds rider at 9 PM on May 15th. The accident happened on the  800 blocks on Camino Del Sur around 9 in the evening. The Santa Barbara City Fire Department and California Highway Patrol Officers attended to the scene of the accident.
 
According to the CHP report, the vehicle was going north on Camino Del Sur at 20MPH when the bicyclist suddenly rode out of a nearby driveway.
 
Due to the abrupt appearance of the man on the bike, the car hit the bicyclist, causing the rider to break his leg due to the crash.
 
The emergency responders arrived on the scene and found the driver laying on the ground. They stayed with the injured rider and took them to the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for immediate treatment.
 
Police are investigating the case and will provide further updates.
