Bicycle Accident on North Wood Road Results in Fatality [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (May 29, 2023) On Saturday morning, a male bicyclist died after a bicycle accident on North Wood Road.

According to Spokane County Sheriff’s Deputies, the fatal semi-truck collision happened around 11 a.m. at the West Four Mound Road intersection.

Reports say that a southbound big rig moved over into the oncoming lane to pass a man on his bicycle. Meanwhile, the cyclist intended to turn left onto Four Mound Road.

Unfortunately, the semi-truck driver was not able to stop in time, the semi collided with the bicyclist.

First responders pronounced the male cyclist dead at the scene, officials say that the big rig driver stayed at the scene.

Officials are investigating the fatal semi-truck collision and have not provided additional information at this time.
