Bernard Judis Dies Following 2-Car Accident on West Desert Inn Road and South Jones Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 13, 2020)—An 86-year-old driver died on Feb. 5, two days following a two-car collision on West Desert Inn Road and South Jones Boulevard.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Lt. Gordon, the crash happened around 6:25 a.m. and left one driver in critical condition and the other with major injuries.
It appears a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta tried attempting a left turn onto South Jones Boulevard when it veered into the path of a 2017 Ford Edge. Consequently, the cars collided, causing the Ford to strike a curb and rollover.
According to police, the 55-year-old Las Vegas Ford driver failed to wear a safety belt. He suffered major injuries and was brought to UMC Trauma Center.
The Jetta driver, whom police identified as 86-year-old Bernard Judis, died at UMC on Feb. 5.
Neither driver appeared to be intoxicated, investigations proved. However, the cause and liabilities remain unclear.
