Benito So Jr Dies In Hit-And-Run Crash on Foothill Boulevard [Los Angeles, CA]

Davit Davtyan Arrested For the Hit-and-Run Collision in the Tujunga Neighborhood

 
Los Angeles, CA (August 18, 2020) – On Monday, Benito So Jr, 83-year-old, died in a hit-and-run crash on 7100 block of Foothill Boulevard.
 
The fatal crash happened at about 1:45 a.m. in the Tujunga neighborhood.
 
Los Angeles Police Department said the victim was sitting inside his disabled car, when a speeding vehicle directly struck his vehicle.
 
Authorities proclaimed the victim dead at the scene.
 
Police said that Davit Davtyan, was travelling north on Foothill Boulevard when he crashed in a parked vehicle close to the crossing at Pinewood Avenue. Eyewitness reports Davtyan fled on foot.
 
After three hours Davtyan surrendered to the authorities who are planning to launch a search party for him.  Authorities booked him on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.
