Becky Marie Hayes Struck and Killed in Sutter County Accident on Live Oak Boulevard

 
SUTTER COUNTY, CA (October 20, 2020) – 54-year-old Becky Marie Hayes died while several people sustained injuries in a crash on Live Oak Boulevard near Eager Road.
 
According to reports, the incident occurred in unincorporated Sutter County at around 7:40 p.m. The crash happened on Live Oak Boulevard near Eager Road.
 
The authorities confirmed that the crash involved a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse and a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox.
 

Details of Sutter County Fatal Accident

 
Reports revealed that the Traverse headed north on Live Oak Boulevard near Eager Road. However, a minor-injury crash occurred and left the Traverse disabled in the southbound lane, facing west.
 
Meanwhile, a 54-year-old woman and a 44-year-old person, both from Gridley, went out of the vehicle. They exited the car to check on a 4-year-old girl and 2-year-old boy riding at the back.
 
However, while driving southbound in a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox, a 77-year-old Yuba City man, struck both women and crashed into the Traverse.
 
The Equinox driver said that due to dark conditions, he did not see the two pedestrians or the stalled vehicle.
 

The Aftermath of the Crash on Live Oak Boulevard

 
Responders transported the five occupants and an 82-year-old Yuba City woman in the Equinox.
 
However, the 54-year-old woman, Becky Marie Hayes, died, and the 44-year-old sustained major injuries.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported the 4-year-old girl with moderate injuries to a Marysville hospital. Moreover, they took the 2-year-old boy to UC Davis Medical Center with unspecified injuries. According to the officials, both juveniles wore safety equipment.
 
Also, responders transported the Yuba City man and woman to the hospital in Marysville. The authorities said that the injuries of the driver were minor. Meanwhile, his passenger’s injuries weren’t disclosed.
 
As of this time, the authorities haven’t made any arrests. Also, the police do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
