Two Drivers Injured in Head-On Collision at Highway 63 and Highway 11 in Kirksville
Kirksville, MO (January 4, 2025) On Thursday afternoon, 63-year-old Beatrice Schulte of Greentop and 19-year-old Savannah Deckard of Marshfield were injured in a head-on collision at Highway 63.
According to Kirksville police, the 2-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Highway 63 and Highway 11 around 1:10 p.m.
Reports say that the head-on collision sent both drivers to the hospital. Authorities say that Deckard attempted to make a left turn in her northbound SUV and collided with an oncoming SUV driven by Schulte.
Emergency responders transported both drivers to Northeast Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries. Three passengers in Schulte’s SUV were unharmed. Both vehicles sustained significant damage and were towed from the scene.
Kirksville police issued Deckard a citation for failure to yield.
