Barbara Brender, Mariann Quinones Die in Two-Vehicle Accident on South Fort Apache Road Near West Tompkins Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 13, 2020)—Two people died Saturday in a head-on collision along South Fort Apache Road near West Tompkins Avenue.
Police say the deadly crash happened around 11:11 a.m. According to evidence, officers believe a 2018 Dodge Challenger driver, traveling northbound on Fort Apache Road, entered the southbound lanes for unclear reasons. The Dodge subsequently struck a southbound 2017 Hyundai Elantra head-on.
As a result, the two occupants of the Hyundai—69-year-old Barbara Brender and 58-year-old Mariann Quinones—perished in the collision. The 78-year-old man operating the Dodge suffered serious injuries and was brought to University Medical Center.
