Barbara Brender and Mariann Quinone Fatally Struck near Tropicana Avenue
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 6, 2020) – Two women died in Saturday’s head-on accident on South Fort Apache Road near Tropicana Avenue.
The coroner’s office later identified the fatal victims as 69-year-old Barbara Brender, and 58-year-old Mariann Quinones,.
According to Las Vegas Police, both women occupied a 2017 Hyundai Elantra traveling south on South Fort Apache Road around 11:00 a.m. There, a northbound 2018 Dodge Challenger driven by a 78-year-old man veered into their lane and struck their car head-on.
In addition, the driver of the Challenger suffered critical injuries as a result of the impact. Paramedics brought him to University Medical Center for further treatment.
No further information surrounding this crash was available. However, authorities plan to investigate this accident further.
