Pedestrian Struck by Multiple Drivers in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 14, 2019) – A woman was struck by multiple vehicles Wednesday evening at P and Bank streets and died shortly after.
 
According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the woman was standing in the roadway when she was struck by a southbound vehicle. The female driver of that car made a U-turn to return to the scene when she saw two other vehicles strike the downed pedestrian.
 
Everyone involved remained at the scene and was cooperative with investigators. The victim, however, was shuttled to a nearby hospital due to her severe injuries and died moments later.
 
Alcohol and excessive speed do not appear to be contributing sources to the crash, but any witnesses willing to come forward are urged to call BPD at 327-7111.
