BAKERSFIELD, CA – One Killed in Rollover Crash at Poplar Avenue and 7th Standard Road

Motorist Dies in Early Morning Rollover Crash on Poplar Avenue in Bakersfield

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 12, 2019) – One person was killed following a rollover crash early Saturday morning in Bakersfield.
 
The fatal crash happened a little before 4:00 a.m. at Poplar Avenue and 7th Standard Road.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, a vehicle was heading southbound on Poplar Avenue towards Seventh Standard Road when for unknowns reasons, the car veered off the roadway and overturned.
 
After the crash, the car erupted into flames and the driver was unable to get out of the car.
 
Responding fire crews pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Information on the victim’s identity was not immediately available.
 
Further investigation of this incident is underway.
