ATV Driver Dead in Fresno County Accident
Fresno County, CA (February 4, 2025) – A 40-year-old woman was killed and another was injured in an ATV accident near Coalinga Sunday night.
The fatal crash happened before 10 p.m. on private property in an unincorporated area in Fresno.
Officers said the 40-year-old woman was driving the ATV down a dirt embankment when she lost control of the vehicle which overturned.
As a result, the driver and the passenger were both ejected from the ATV.
The driver was hit by the ATV and sustained critical injuries. She was rushed to Coalinga Regional Medical Center in Coalinga in critical condition and was declared deceased.
Similarly, the passenger was also transported with moderate injuries.
CHP officers said both the ATV driver and passenger were not wearing helmets during the accident.
Investigators believed alcohol played a role.
