1 Person Injured in Shasta Lake DUI Accident on Ashby Road and Fort Peck Street

SHASTA LAKE, CA (March 21, 2023) – Monday afternoon, authorities arrested Ashton Strong after a felony DUI crash on Ashby Road and Fort Peck Street.

The incident happened at around 2:19 p.m. on Ashby Road and Fort Peck Street.

According to reports, a side-by-side UTV-styled vehicle lost control and rolled over at the scene.

Moreover, responders transported a juvenile passenger of the vehicle to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Furthermore, officers arrested the vehicle driver, 32-year-old Ashton Strong, who failed field sobriety tests. Authorities booked Strong into the Shasta County Jail for DUI causing great bodily injury and child endangerment likely to cause great bodily injury or death.

Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
