Ashley Vega Struck Dead in Pomona Crash on Mission Boulevard near Curran Place

POMONA, CA (October 7, 2021) – Wednesday night, Ashley Vega, 29, died in a pedestrian accident on West Mission Boulevard near Curran Place.

The authorities received a report of the scene at around 8:45 p.m. Moreover, it occurred in the 1700 block of West Mission Boulevard near Curran Place.

Initial reports stated that a car hit a female pedestrian. Shortly after, responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Police said the female pedestrian died in Pomona on Wednesday evening, Oct. 6, after being struck by a car in the area of West Mission Boulevard.

Lt. Todd Samuels, watch commander with the Pomona Police Department confirmed that the driver stayed at the scene.

At this time, the events that have led up to the crash remain unclear.

Furthermore, the authorities described the deceased victim as a 29-year-old woman. Later reports identified the victim, Ms. Vega, as living as a transient at the time of her death.

Also, the fatal accident temporarily shut down West Mission Boulevard between Curran Place and Oak Avenue.
