Dale D’Elia and Ashley Slater Dead Following Head-On Crash With Big Rig near Lake Mathews
Corona, CA (November 4, 2020) – On Tuesday, 32-year-olds Ashley Slater and Dale D’Elia died when a semi-truck struck their sedan in a crash on Cajalco Road.
Indeed, the fatal accident occurred at 10:25 AM on Cajalco Road, west of La Sierra Avenue in Corona, near Lake Mathews.
According to CHP, Slater and D’Elia road in a Toyota Scion XB eastbound, when a tractor-trailer coming westbound crossed over the lane and into the path of the Toyota.
As a result, the truck, driven by a 26-year-old Alberta man, crashed head on into the Toyota.
Consequently, the impact of the crash resulted in the death of both Toyota occupants, Ms. Slater of Norco, and Mr. D’Elia of Perris.
The big rig driver was questioned at the scene; however, he was released, pending a further investigation.
