Ashley Sanchez Fatally Hit by Train in Central Fresno

 
Fresno, CA (May 27, 2020)– A train accident was reported Friday on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues that left Ashley Sanchez dead.
 
Police officers responded to the scene on May 22 on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues around 11:30 p.m. On the scene, the responding officials found the body of a 19-year-old woman, Ashley Sanchez.
 
Based on the investigation, the conductor said that things seemed so sudden. The train did not have enough time and was unable to stop before hitting Ashley Sanchez.
 
Due to the lack of details, it is still unknown why Sanchez was near the tracks. The investigation is still on-going.
 
Furthermore, the surrounding area on Fruit and Ashlan Avenues have since reopened.
