Passenger Arturo Rosales Jr Killed, Jamie Levy Arrested in DUI Accident on West Avenue E

 
Lancaster, CA (August 11, 2020) – On Saturday, a 36-year-old passenger named Arturo Rosales Jr died while Jamie Levy was arrested in a DUI crash at West Avenue E and 30th Street West.
 
The fatal crash happened before 4 a.m. when the suspect driver Levy drove the roadway while impaired.
 
CHP said Levy, from Lancaster, was driving westbound on Avenue E in a 2014 Scion TC.
She was about to approach the 30th Street West at an unidentified speed when she failed to stop for the posted stop sign at the intersection.
 
Her car left the roadway where it struck a dirt berm.
 
Authorities pronounced Levy’s passenger, Mr. Gonzales Jr, who was also from Lancaster, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, rescuers took Levy to the hospital for sustaining moderate injuries.
 
She was later arrested for suspicion of driving while impaired.
 
CHP said, “The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is believed to be a factor in this collision. Tragically, another life was lost here in the Antelope Valley. This is the 26th person killed so far this year in the CHP Antelope Valley area jurisdiction.”
