Arthur Loring Schoenstadt Killed in Fatal Head-on Crash on Reservation Road [Monterey County, CA]

1 Person Dead in Monterey County Auto Accident on Reservation Road near East Garrison Drive

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (October 8, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, Arthur Loring Schoenstadt died in a fatal head-on crash on Reservation Road.

The incident happened at around 5:05 p.m. on Reservation Road, just south of East Garrison Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound white Acura veered into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with a northbound grey Toyota.

Moreover, responders pronounced the driver of the Toyota, identified as 81-year-old Schoenstadt, dead at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities believe that the driver of the Acura was driving under the influence, and will be booked into Monterey County Jail when released from the hospital.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued to investigate the crash.
