Arsen Sargsyan and Trenton Morrisseau Injured in Collision on 5 Freeway [Red Bluff, CA]

2 Injured in Red Bluff Car Collision on 5 Freeway

 
RED BLUFF, CA (April 8, 2020) – Sunday night, 47-year-old Arsen Sargsyan and 45-year-old Trenton Morrisseau were injured in a collision on the 5 Freeway.
 
California Highway Patrol responded to the accident around 8:35 p.m., just north of Flores Avenue.
 
Sargsyan of North Hills drove his southbound 2010 International big-rig on the freeway at around 55 mph. There, the driver struck a black cow standing in the roadway.
 
Meanwhile, Morrisseau of Cottonwood was traveling north in a 2000 Oldsmobile at around 70 mph. The big rig then crossed into the northbound lane in response to hitting the cow.
 
This is when the truck collided with Morrisseau’s car.
 
Upon impact, the big-rig overturned until it came to a stop on its right side on the east shoulder of the freeway.
 
Meanwhile, Morrisseau’s car stopped in the slow lane of northbound 5 Freeway.
 
The collision left Morrisseau with major injuries. Paramedics transported him to St. Elizabeth Community Hospital for further treatment. However, there is no update yet on his current condition.
 
Meanwhile, Sargsyan suffered minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.
 
Due to the impact of the collision, the cars left significant damage on each other.
 
Authorities also reported that they don’t believe that drugs or alcohol played a role. They confirmed that both drivers wore their seat belts.
 
Moreover, police asked anyone with additional information about the collision on 5 Freeway to contact the CHP at 527-2034.
