Arnulfo Martinez Dead in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident on Panama Lane

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 23, 2022) – Tuesday night, Arnulfo Martinez Garcia, 36, died in a pedestrian crash on South Edison Road and Panama Lane.

The crash happened when Arnulfo walked west across South Edison Road outside of a crosswalk before midnight. Then, the male pedestrian went into the path of a Toyota Corolla.

However, the vehicle driver couldn’t stop in time and struck the man. Then, the driver drove north on South Edison Road before returning to the crash scene later.

Meanwhile, the authorities declared the pedestrian, Mr. Martinez Garcia, dead at the scene. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.

Due to the limited information available, the Panama Lane accident remains under active investigation.
