2 Injured in Templeton Car Accident

 
TEMPLETON, CA (March 5, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a DUI car accident in Templeton on Highway 101 on the morning of March 1.
 
CHP officers detained 36-year-old Monica Duggan of Atascadero on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol after the crash.
 
Reports revealed that 52-year-old Arnold Johnson of Paso Robles traveled south on Highway 101 shortly after 1:30 a.m. when he noticed a vehicle driving the wrong way on the freeway approaching him.
 
Johnson then veered to the right to prevent a collision. However, he was not able to avoid the crash. The the oncoming vehicle struck the left front of Johnson’s car.
 
As a result of the accident, Duggan suffered a bloody nose and was transported to the Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center.
 
Meanwhile, Johnson and his 27-year-old passenger Tyler Evangelista of Santa Margarita were also taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center for precautionary reasons.

The collision still remains under investigation.
