ARBUCKLE, CA – One Killed in Crash on 5 Freeway at Hillgate Road

Fatal Collision on 5 Freeway in Arbuckle

 
ARBUCKLE, CA (March 9, 2019) – One person was killed following a traffic collision Saturday night in Arbuckle.
 
The fatal collision happened around 6:37 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway at Hillgate Road.
 
Details of how the crash occurred were not immediately available, but the involved vehicle was recovered on the right shoulder with major damage.
 
One occupant, believed to be the driver of the vehicle, was found unresponsive inside. Life-saving measures were performed but the individual did not survive and was declared dead.
 
No identifying information is being released at this time.
 
It is also unknown if speed, drugs and/or alcohol were contributing factors in the crash. The fatal incident remains under investigation.
