1 Dead in Fresno Auto Accident on Avenue 7 1/2 and Firebaugh Boulevard

 
FRESNO, CA (March 30, 2022) – Sunday night, Antonio Gonzalez suffered injuries in a deadly crash on Avenue 7 1/2 and Firebaugh Boulevard.
 
The incident happened at around 5:00 p.m. when the 89-year-old man from Firebaugh headed west. As he traveled on Avenue 7 1/2, west of Firebaugh Boulevard, he veered in the wrong direction in the eastbound lane.
 
Then, 43-year-old Jael Louise Cook of Lemoore driving a 2021 Toyota Venza managed to veer out of the way. However, the Firebaugh man’s Nissan Frontier sideswiped Cook.
 
Eventually, the Nissan collided with 43-year-old Antonio Gonzalez in a 2010 Toyota Sequoia head-on.
 
Responders transported Gonzalez to Madera Community Hospital with minor injuries. Meanwhile, responders declared the Firebaugh man dead at the scene.
 
Also, they do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash.
