Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Intersection of Figueroa and 79th Streets
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 20, 2018) – A 71-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in South Los Angeles on Saturday morning around 9:25 AM.
Antonia Madrid-Galindo, was walking on the intersection of Figueroa and 79th Streets, when she was struck by a hit-run-driver. She was taken to a local hospital with critical injuries, and was later pronounced dead, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The vehicle was described to be a maroon, older-model pickup truck, with a washing machine in the bed. There is no description of the driver at this time.
