Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on HWY 116
Sonoma County, CA (Aug. 5, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, 63-year-old Anthony Scott of Sebastopol was killed in a Highway 116 collision.
The authorities received the crash report at about 7 p.m. approximately 4 miles east of the Lakeville junction.
Officers said that an eastbound box truck driven by a 39-year-old Crockett man crossed the double yellow lines on the two-lane highway.
The truck hit three westbound vehicles, a Lexus driven by a 67-year-old Sebastopol woman, a Chevrolet Camaro driven by Anthony Scott, and a Jeep SUV driven by a 43-year-old Rio Vista woman.
Unfortunately, Anthony Scott died at the scene.
The three other drivers incurred minor to moderate injuries.
Officers are still investigating the cause of the collision.
