Anthony Ramirez Dies in Broadside Crash on Riverside Street [Lake Elsinore, CA]

Two Injured in Vehicle Crash on Riverside Street

Lake Elsinore, CA (May 13, 2022) – On Thursday morning, 57-year-old Anthony Ramirez of Lake Elsinore died while three others sustained injuries in a broadside crash on Riverside Street.

The authorities received the crash report at 6:32 a.m. near Highway 74 which involved a school bus.

Immediately, the rescuers immediately responded and extricated Ramirez from being trapped in his 2009 Chevrolet HHR. Emergency responder rushed him to Inland Valley Medical Center where he died.

Moreover, the medical team rushed a 8-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl, both students, to a hospital with minor injuries. The hospital later releases them.  

The school bus driver, a 69-year-old Wildomar man, did not sustain injuries from the accident. However, his 20-year-old passenger incurred minor injuries.

According to the investigators, the school bus was turning left from northbound Riverside Street onto westbound Highway 74 when it was broadsided by Ramirez’s eastbound SUV. 

Meanwhile, officers are investigating which vehicle ran a red light.
