36-Year-OId Oakland Man Identified as Motorcyclist Killed in Collision with Truck in Pittsburg
PITTSBURG, CA (July 5, 2019) – Authorities identified 36-year-old Anthony Mora of Oakland as the motorcyclist killed in a collision with a truck near Southwood Drive, Friday morning.
According to the Pittsburg Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:20 AM. A northbound truck attempted to turn onto West Leland Road when it collided with the eastbound motorcyclist.
Emergency responders pronounced Mora dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the unidentified truck driver remained and cooperated with investigators. It is unknown whether or not he sustained injuries in the crash.
The Pittsburg police ruled out alcohol and drugs as contributing factors in the fatal accident. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
