Anthony Huante Killed in Sultana Street Motorcycle Collision [Hesperia, CA]

Hesperia, CA (May 25, 2023) – On Tuesday night, Anthony Huante, 40, a resident of Hesperia, sustained fatal injuries in a Sultana Street motorcycle collision.

The traffic collision happened at approximately 7:56 p.m. at the intersection of Seventh Avenue involving and red and white 2003 Honda off-road motorcycle and a maroon 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.

Investigating officers said the Honda motorcycle occupied by a male and one female was westbound on Sultana Street while the pickup truck was southbound on Seventh Avenue.

“The driver of the Honda motorcycle drove west into the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Sultana Street, failing to stop at the posted stop sign. The driver of the Silverado entered the intersection traveling south and was broadsided by the Honda motorcycle, causing the two riders to be ejected. Seventh Avenue is not controlled by stop signs for through traffic,” stated a sheriff’s news release.

Unfortunately, Huante, Honda male rider, died at the scene. 

The medical team airlifted the female rider via a Mercy Air helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center.

The Silverado’s 17-year-old driver did not incur any injuries from the collision. 

Officers said it has not been identified if drugs and/or alcohol were a factor in the accident.
