15-Year-Old Anthony Gaitan Fatally Struck in Eastvale Hit-and-Run Accident

 
EASTVALE, CA (May 31, 2019) – A teenage boy sustained fatal injuries following a hit-and-run crash in Eastvale on Thursday, May 23.
 
According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a call of a vehicle hitting a pedestrian in the area of 68th Street and Tarah Street at about 2:40 a.m.
 
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the male juvenile in the roadway. He died at the scene.
 
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim. However, grieving family members who were gathered at the scene hours after the fatal incident identified him as 15-year-old Anthony Gaitan.
 
The involved vehicle fatally struck him just around the corner from his home, according to his relatives.
 
A GoFundMe page has been created to help his family for the funeral expenses.
 
Authorities have not yet released a description of the driver. They described the involved vehicle as a dark-colored sedan.
