Angeli Shieh of Seattle Injured in Highway 97 Collision [Peshastin, WA]

Peshastin, WA (July 2, 2024) – Two 21-year-old women, Angeli Shieh of Seattle, and Anna Brasket of Boulder, Colorado, were injured in a Highway 97 collision early Sunday afternoon.

Troopers said a 2006 Jeep Liberty driven by 20-year-old Abigail Danko of Wenatchee pulled out from Green Bridge Road through the southbound freeway without yielding to a motor coach traveling north.

As a result, the 2018 Thor Motor Coach struck the Jeep. The two vehicles stopped on the north and southbound lanes of U.S. 97.

Danko, Shieh, and Brasket were rushed to Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus with injuries.

While 61-year-old Shawn Stanton of Sequim and 51-year-old Rebecca Stanton of Sequim, who was riding the motor coach, were not injured in the collision.

Troopers said alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the accident. They added that the cause was failure to yield.

Everyone in both vehicles was wearing their seatbelts.
