Fresno, CA (January 03, 2021) – On Saturday, 30-year-old Andres Romero of Fresno died, while police arrested 31-year-old Joey Barron in a DUI crash on Highway 168.
 
The fatal crash happened at about 12:30 a.m. when Baron was traveling west on Highway 168 near the Shields Avenue offramp.
 
Suddenly, Baron made an unsafe turn. As a result, his vehicle overturned and tumbled multiple times.
 
Consequently, Mr. Romero, the passenger, died at the scene.
 
Authorities suspected Barron of driving under the influence of alcohol and arrested him.
 
Officers took him to a hospital with unspecified injuries that officers described as “major.”
