Man Struck and Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver near Ball Road
ANAHEIM, CA (April 28, 2018) – A man was fatally injured in a hit-and-run accident on Brookhurst Street, late Saturday night.
Around 10 PM, Anaheim Police responded to the scene on Brookhurst St, just south of Ball Road, to find the injured pedestrian in the road. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead by medical professionals.
The identity of the deceased victim, a man believed to be in his 50’s, has not yet been released pending notification of his family.
The vehicle was believed to be traveling northbound on Brookhurst from Cerritos Avenue when it hit the man. There is currently no description of the hit-and-run driver. Based on evidence found at the scene, the suspect vehicle is believed to be a silver Honda or Acura (possibly a 2002 Acura TL) that is missing the driver’s side mirror and may have damage to the left front side.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find the hit-and-run driver and the vehicle involved in this tragic collision.
