1 Person Injured in Amy Wilburn and Tyler Huntley in Highway 99 Chase

 
Stockton, CA (June 22, 2020) – On Sunday, a person was injured as Amy Wulbern fled authorities on Highway 99.
 
The incident happened at about 10:50 a.m. when a deputy patrolling through the Days Inn parking lot on Waterloo Road saw a suspicious Mercedes SUV with temporary license plates. Police traced the license plate as a stolen vehicle.
 
Just then, a male and a female exited the car and walked away from it. The two suspects separated before the deputy could get to them.
 
Shortly after, the deputy was able to catch the male suspect and detained him.
 
Moreover, a second deputy saw the female suspect driving the stolen vehicle through the parking lot. The deputy initiated a traffic stop, but the woman fled.
 
The deputy followed the vehicle.
 
Furthermore, the vehicle went onto Waterloo Road and entered Highway 99 moving the wrong way.
 
Due to safety concerns for the public, the deputy terminated the pursuit.

Subsequently, a citizen reported an accident on the freeway where the female driver fled.
 
A person was injured in the accident caused by the stolen vehicle. An ambulance took the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Meanwhile, other responding deputies were able to locate the woman and took her into custody.
 
Amy Wulbern, 39, had to be medically cleared prior to being booked but faces charges. Possible charges include felony evading, possession of a stolen vehicle, and a convicted felon in possessing illegal drugs.
 
While, the male suspect, Tyler Huntley, 29, was booked into the County Jail on suspicion of several felony charges. Charges include being a convicted felon in possession of a concealed firearm, possessing illegal narcotics, and a stolen vehicle. He is being held in lieu of $560,000 bail.
 
The California Highway Patrol is handling the accident investigation and will be adding additional felony charges against Wulbern.
