Two-Vehicle Collision Reported near Chapman Avenue

ORANGE, CA (December 4, 2018) – On Tuesday night, an ambulance was involved in a crash on The City Drive.

According to officials with the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 7:00 PM near Chapman Avenue. Based on reports, the incident involved an ambulance and a hatchback. The ambulance had traveled onto a curb and through a worn chain link fence that was guarding a grassy slope adjacent to a 5 freeway overpass.

A brief closure of the northbound lanes of City Drive was administered while cleanup and investigation took place. Information regarding the circumstances that led to the incident was not immediately released by authorities. The hatchback sustained substantial front-end damage, and the fence barrier was also visibly damaged, with some sections that were bent down to the ground.

No additional details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
