Amber Russell Dead and 1 Hurt in Contra Costa County Accident on I-680

 
PACHECO, CA (November 19, 2020) – On Wednesday morning, Amber Russell a crash on Interstate 680 and Highway 4 killed Amber Russell and injured a person.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at around 10:25 a.m., on the northbound lanes of I-680 just south of state Highway 4.
 
Reports revealed that a 2003 Nissan 350z lost control and veered off the road into a concrete center divider. Then, it veered back across all lanes towards the concrete sound wall.
 
Responders pronounced the 20-year-old female passenger from Milpitas dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old male driver from Milpitas was rushed to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek after suffering major injuries.
 
It is still unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
The Pacheco accident is under investigation.
