HOUSTON, TX (March 19, 2023) – Thursday morning, Amanda Weaver died in a head-on crash on FM 229 near 666-Mile Marker.

The incident happened at about 7:15 a.m. on FM 229 near 666-Mile Marker.

According to Texas DPS reports, a 2008 Jeep SUV traveled south. Meanwhile, a 2005 Hyundai passenger car traveled north.

Then, as the Hyundai driver went into an oncoming lane in a curve, the two vehicles crashed head-on.

As a result, 43-year-old driver Amanda Weaver of Crockett who drove the Hyundai sustained injuries. Thus, responders took her to a local hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Moreover, responders transported the Jeep driver and their passenger to a nearby hospital for treatment.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
