NICE, CA (June 21, 2022) – Sunday morning, Amanda Arney died in a hit-and-run crash on State Route 20 near Sayre Avenue.
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 12:10 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on State Route 20, west of Sayre Avenue.
Reports revealed that a vehicle veered onto the south shoulder of the roadway and struck a female pedestrian. Then, the force of the crash pushed the victim down an embankment and landed near a fence. Afterward, the vehicle fled the scene eastbound on State Route 20 after the collision.
Moreover, the authorities received a report of the incident at around 7:40 a.m. When responders arrived, they pronounced the victim, identified as Amanda Arney, dead at the scene.
Furthermore, officers identified a vehicle of interest, a silver 2013 Toyota Sienna minivan with damage to the right front side.
